Botox® Cosmetic is the first treatment that is FDA approved to temporarily smooth those unwanted facial wrinkles. It is a quick treatment that begins to show results just within 24 to 48 hours. Botox® Cosmetic is injected beneath the surface and reduces the muscle activity that cause crows' feet, forehead lines, and frown lines, making these lines appear smoother.
Botox® Cosmetic is very useful for those 40 years and older looking to reduce unwanted wrinkles. However, it is also used by younger adults, 20 and up, to prevent these wrinkles. By reducing the muscle contractions at an earlier age, the development of the wrinkles will be more delayed.
Dysport® is used to treat the frown lines between your eyebrows. It reduces specific muscle activity that makes these lines more prominent. It is one injection in 5 points between and above the eyebrows. By injecting this product into this muscle, it will temporarily prevent these muscles to contract.
